It's a bummer because it knocks me out of running it!<br />We'd love to have you and the family at the Trilogy. It really is a tremendous race venue and is extremely family friendly for those that enjoy remoteness and camping. I know you have unfinished business at Grindstone though.Cassedayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06903493546022429763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3681117549787428514.post-52017674296203113552011-02-27T17:47:10.685-05:002011-02-27T17:47:10.685-05:00Adam - I actually might, but like you I wish it wa...Adam - I actually might, but like you I wish it was a 100 miler. Tough decision though, I want to do Grindstone and The Trilogy also. I'll have to think about it all.Chris Reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13626003166148208883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3681117549787428514.post-6837044015353047652011-02-27T12:54:16.541-05:002011-02-27T12:54:16.541-05:00Hey Adam, I agree 100%.Hey Adam, I agree 100%.UltraBradhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12685893570204140301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3681117549787428514.post-24435346507160801872011-02-27T08:27:45.562-05:002011-02-27T08:27:45.562-05:00Chris - Thanks for the comment. You make me feel ...Chris - Thanks for the comment. You make me feel better and not like some old curmudgeon. Are you going to toss your name in the mix at UROC? If I'm recovered from the AT, I just might have to make the trip. Hard to pass up a race like this . . . I just wish it was 100 miles!Cassedayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06903493546022429763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3681117549787428514.post-20727252810300758222011-02-27T08:21:47.158-05:002011-02-27T08:21:47.158-05:00Geoff - I agree completely. How can more and deeper competition ever be a bad thing?Cassedayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06903493546022429763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3681117549787428514.post-29499566904107752262011-02-26T19:15:55.308-05:002011-02-26T19:15:55.308-05:00i love your point about races in the coming years ...i love your point about races in the coming years moving more and more to both ends of the spectrum. i think the emergence of races like UROC and others that are sure to come will only increase and strengthen the amount and appeal of the true grassroots events that have been (and will hopefully continue to be) the core of the sport. in my opinion this dichotomy is a good thing. i think it's the events out on these ends of the spectrum that have a true identity and are the most enjoyable to be a part of.Geoffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03238385683129822240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3681117549787428514.post-55682380050723372042011-02-26T07:52:00.899-05:002011-02-26T07:52:00.899-05:00Adam, you are old school! I think a lot of ultrarunners including myself, like the grassroots feel of ultra events.Chris Reedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13626003166148208883noreply@blogger.com
