I happen to like crossing creeks -- even if I'm running roads. Today, Files Creek was raging from the recent rains and current snow. As I was thight deep in the freezing water today, I thought, "I guess this is my adventure for the day." . . . as small as that might be, it sure beats sitting on the couch.Cassedayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06903493546022429763noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3681117549787428514.post-52672688126027695622011-11-30T11:02:34.647-05:002011-11-30T11:02:34.647-05:00I found this quote as a young high school runner o...I found this quote as a young high school runner over twenty years ago featured in a article in remembrance of "Pre". "I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stilled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time." -Jack London
It's okay to be "wild at heart"!Corey Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02385500272379424726noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3681117549787428514.post-81056907288219703812011-11-29T18:07:24.459-05:002011-11-29T18:07:24.459-05:00You have been thinking deeply. I'm very uncomfortable in this comfortable society.

The Bible is full of adventures, wanderers and ragamuffins. And our world is desperately in need of more ordinary radicals who live in the reality of the upside-down Kingdom.

May you continue to find deeper levels of dependence and intimacy with our Creator.
ScottScott Taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07142566804491826114noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3681117549787428514.post-4234330560686316022011-11-28T20:06:20.984-05:002011-11-28T20:06:20.984-05:00Glad you are back to writing. Hard Rock and UTMB should be good enough to engage you in the long run (pun intended), and giving Michael Owen a bit of a race at the Sasquatch might be a good short-term adventure. He will be stronger this year. I wish I could be there too.Gancho Slavovhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00989248299096225501noreply@blogger.com
