Barkley


Interesting article written on the RW blog yesterday about the Barkley Marathons.  The article is written by inprisoned ultrarunner Charlie Engle.  Check out the NY Times article on Engle (previous link).  Very peculiar story and it turns out he is being held, interestingly, near Beckley, WV.

I wonder what is happening/happened at Barkley?

    Sue- I agree, I'd love to see a woman finish! You've come closer than anyone and that's saying a ton considering all the records you've broken over the years. They're out there, but just have to make it a priority.

    I thought Barkley was last weekend, but I'm excited (and embarrassed) to see that it's actually this weekend. Good luck to everyone there in TN! I hope you've got better weather than here in WV.
